Thank you, everyone for your emails and support after A Current Affair showed my story on Monday night, they are very much appreciated.

Since the story went to air I have been inundated with emails and help requests, over 800 so far, and as fast as I reply to one another comes in.

If you've emailed or used the Contact Us form here on the website, on our Facebook page, my blog or even the Member forum, please be patient. I'm going as fast as I can, and I will answer your email, but it may take a couple of days.

If you haven't had a reply to your question by next week please give me a (very gentle) reminder and I'll get back to as soon as I can.

Thank you again for your support and your patience.

Oh, if you missed the story, you can see it here on the ACA site.

31 Days of MOO

March is the month when we Cheapskaters do our very best to make our own.

We make our own cleaning products, treats, meals, cosmetics, clothes, garden products and anything else we use day-to-day.

We say no to very expensive convenience, one use only products and instead fill our trolleys with ingredients and materials that we can use to replace those single use products and do double, triple, even quadruple duty.

Every day during March there is a brand new MOO posted for you to try. You'll find the 31 MOOs for 2015 right here.

This month let's all MOO!

31 Days of MOO

MOO Month is over and it was a lot of fun and a huge success. Thirty-one new ways to say "no thanks" to supermarkets and department stores were shared during March.  I've had a lot of requests to put all 31 MOOs into a book you can download so that's what I've done. In a single PDF, I’ve compiled all 31 MOOs, along with the tutorial, photos and any resource you might need to MOO each project.

If you are a Platinum Cheapskates Club member you can log in to download your copy from the Printables page.

If you are not a Platinum Cheapskates Club member you can purchase your copy from the Cheapskates Book Store for just $1.99.  It’s really that simple.

Grow Your Own Food for a Year

"Not buying lunch paid for our trip to Perth"

"My wife and I have just had a great week in Perth, paid for by not buying lunches. When Sally started making lunches for us I thought she was nuts, especially when she told me not buying lunch would pay for a holiday. In 8 1/2 months she had the money to pay for our week in Perth, airfares and accommodation and site seeing included. Only thing is she insisted that we still pack our lunches each day instead of buying them :)."
