Does anyone know where I can purchase bulk (around 50 m +) of good quality, solar backed curtain fabric. I need new curtains and have decided to make my own in an insulated fabric for temp control etc but can't seem to source the fabric except by the metre. I thought that perhaps a bolt may be the cheaper option and don't mind the whole house being the same plain colour. |

Go straight to the manufacturer if you want the roll - there is a place in Ashburton, Melbourne, name escapes me atm - starts with H? - who make curtains - they also sell fabric very cheap. There is also a place in Mitcham, Melbourne, a dollar curtains outlet I think - that is very, very cheap.
Good luck. |

I got lucky and found a huge roll of navy fabric at the local tip shop for $70. I think it is wool but am not positive. Now I just have to source the backing fabric. Will try the above links
