I've had two 1 year old birthday parties and in the process of organising yet another one, I had it at my house outside, I borrowed toys from our Toy Library if you don't have one of these maybe borrow bikes etc from family/frieds, I put up a little fold up tent and tunnel, had a bubble machine going, put on boppy wiggles/play school music which I borrowed from a library, balloons, balls and I made all the food (pre cooked stuff that you can freeze or make a couple of days before is ideal.) You can also put out some quilts/blankets around the place with toys, blocks, don't have them too close together as it's too much for the 1 year olds (too stimulating), for older kids I also had some scrap paper with pictures that I printed off the internet for colouring in. All the parents commented how the kids were so happy and not bugging the parents so I figured kids were happily entertained. |

Sorry just read the end of your request, the food I serve is muffins, cupcakes, fairy bread, little boys, fruit, sandwiches cut into soldiers, jelly in a cup, ice cups, pikelets, meringue. Kids websites like Kidspot etc have good recipes. Party favours I would send home were balloons, stick of chalk, bottle of bubbles and if you can pick up a big packet of pencils or crayons cheap and I would put one of each into a bag. My goal this year is to find some cheap beads and make a little elastic bracelet for the girls. |
